1. Introduction
GRUPO NAVATEA, S.L. (hereinafter "navat.ai" or "the website") uses cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience, analyze web traffic, and personalize content.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what types we use, why we use them, and how you can control your preferences regarding them.
Cookies that are not strictly necessary are installed only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time from the cookie settings panel described in section 5.1.
3. Legal basis
The use of cookies on this website complies with applicable regulations:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR): Regulates the processing of personal data in the European Union.
- ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC): Specifically regulates electronic communications privacy, including cookies.
- Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE): Implements the ePrivacy Directive in Spain (Article 22.2).
In accordance with these regulations, we request your express consent before installing non-essential cookies on your device, except for those strictly necessary to provide the service.
4. Types of cookies we use
According to their purpose, this website uses the following categories of cookies:
4.1. Essential cookies (strictly necessary)
These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the website and cannot be disabled. They are used exclusively to enable navigation and use of basic website functionalities.
The only one this website uses is not a cookie in the strict sense: it is the record of your answer to the cookie banner, kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and never sent to the server.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). They do not require prior consent according to recital 49 of the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, as they are strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user.

4.2. Local Storage (localStorage)
In addition to HTTP cookies, this website uses browser localStorage to store user preferences locally on your device. Although technically not "cookies" in the strict sense, they are subject to the same legal obligations for information and consent under GDPR.
Legal basis: User consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR). They require your explicit consent before being used (except those strictly necessary).

Technical difference: localStorage is a browser API that allows storing data locally without sending it to the server with each request (unlike HTTP cookies). However, according to the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, any storage of information on the user's device requires the same guarantees for information and consent as traditional cookies.
4.3. Analytics and measurement cookies
These cookies let us count visits and analyse browsing behaviour, so that the content and structure of the website can be improved.
This site installs analytics cookies only if you accept them: those of Google Analytics, described at the end of this section. Until you do, it installs none.
To know how many visits the site receives and which pages are read, it uses
Umami, a cookieless statistics tool installed on a server
of the company itself and served from this same domain. It stores nothing on your device,
no cookies, no local storage, no browser fingerprinting: it only checks whether your
browser holds the flag that switches the measurement off (umami.disabled),
which this site never creates, and if you send the Do Not Track signal it does not
record the visit. What is sent, what is worked out from it and how long it is kept is in
the privacy policy:
your IP address is not stored, and the visit identifier changes every month and differs
on each of the company's websites.
Why we do not ask your permission for this. Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI requires consent to store information on your device or access information already stored there, except what is strictly necessary. The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) treats audience measurement as falling within that exception when it only counts the site's own visits, on behalf of its publisher, without sharing the data or following anyone across sites, and keeps the data for twenty-five months at most. Umami meets those conditions, which is why the cookie settings panel does not control it. Processing the data it does receive rests on the company's legitimate interest in knowing how its own website is used (art. 6.1.f GDPR), and you can object to it as described in the privacy policy.
Google Analytics, only with your consent. The site also uses Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to see in more detail how it is used: which pages are read, how visitors arrive and on what kind of device. Unlike Umami, it installs the cookies in the table below. It is loaded only if you accept analytics cookies in the banner or in the cookie settings panel; if you reject them it is not loaded at all, and if you withdraw your consent later the site deletes the cookies it had installed. The legal basis is your consent (article 22.2 of the LSSI and art. 6.1.a GDPR).

5. How to manage and delete cookies
5.1. Cookie settings panel
At any time, you can modify your cookie preferences with the round button with a cookie icon in the bottom left corner of every page of this website, labelled "Configure" (the name shown when you hover over it). It appears once you have answered the cookie banner.
From this panel you can:
- Accept or reject all non-essential cookies at once
- Configure in detail which types of cookies you wish to allow
- Obtain detailed information about each cookie category
5.2. Browser settings
You can also configure your browser to reject all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is sent. Below we explain how to do this in the most common browsers:

Warning: If you disable all cookies, some website functionalities may not work correctly. Essential cookies are necessary for the basic operation of the site.
6. Third-party cookies
The only third-party cookies are those of Google Analytics, and only if you accept them. They are written under this site's own domain, but the information they collect goes to Google (Google Ireland Limited, and Google LLC in the United States), which is why they count as third-party cookies. They are listed in section 4.3.
The other cookies are the technical ones described in section 4.1, and this site sets them itself. The cookieless audience measurement described in section 4.3 (Umami) is not an external service: it runs on a server of GRUPO NAVATEA, S.L. and is served from this same domain.
7. International data transfers
The technical cookies of section 4.1 never leave this site. The Google Analytics cookies, if you accept them, send data to Google, which may process it in the United States.
That transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of 10 July 2023 ↗, art. 45 GDPR), under which Google LLC is certified ↗. Where that framework does not apply, Google's data processing terms provide for the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission. If you do not accept analytics cookies, nothing is sent to Google.
Which providers take part in hosting and in audience measurement, the country where they process the data and the safeguards that apply are set out in the privacy policy, which is where that belongs.
8. Updates to this policy
This Cookie Policy may be modified due to legislative, jurisprudential changes, or interpretation by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), as well as changes in the cookies used on the website.
We recommend that you review this policy periodically. The date of the last update appears at the beginning of this document.
If substantial changes are made to the use of cookies, your consent will be requested again through the cookie banner.
